Social scientist, dancer and ambassador for Salgueiro, Sabrina Ginga has been teaching outdoor dance classes in Arpoador for over 7 years. Observing the diversity of bodies and styles that pass through there every day, he developed in partnership with samba artist and choreographer Mayombe Masai the concept of the video “Black Arpoador”, uniting samba and funk in an audiovisual narrative.
Released in 1977, the hit “Maria Fumaça” by Banda Black Rio is considered one of the classics of Brazilian music, inaugurating an unprecedented fusion of rhythms and forever impacting the musical culture of our country.
